Milakpur village is located in the fertile region between
Narnaund and Hansi. The name “Milakpur” is believed to be derived
from the word “Milak,” meaning landholding or estate, reflecting
the village’s historical land revenue background.
At present, the village is led by its Sarpanch, Mr. Ashok. Under
his leadership, special emphasis is being given to the
construction of paved roads and the improvement of the drainage
system, resulting in better infrastructure and living conditions.
Socially, Milakpur has a very peaceful and disciplined
environment. The villagers are known for their simplicity and
hardworking nature. Agriculture is the primary source of
livelihood.
The soil of Milakpur is highly suitable for mustard and gram
cultivation. Farmers efficiently utilize irrigation resources,
leading to continuous improvement in crop productivity. Animal
husbandry is the second major source of income for the villagers.
Social harmony is very strong, and festivals are celebrated with
traditional Haryanvi customs. The youth of the village are also
making their mark in the armed forces and sports, bringing pride
to Milakpur.
