Kharkara is an ancient and well-regarded village located in the
Hansi–Narnaund region of Hansi district, Haryana. The name of the
village is believed to have originated from its geographical
structure or from a historical event associated with the area,
giving it a distinct identity.
At present, the village is led by its Sarpanch, Mrs. Suman Devi.
Under her leadership, strong emphasis is being placed on upgrading
village infrastructure, particularly the construction of paved
roads and improvement of drainage systems to ensure better living
conditions.
Socially, Kharkara has a proud, disciplined, and cooperative
community. The spirit of unity and mutual support is clearly
visible in daily village life. Agriculture forms the backbone of
the local economy.
The fertile land of Kharkara is known for high yields of wheat,
mustard, and cotton. Farmers efficiently manage canal-based
irrigation to support crop production. Animal husbandry is not
just an occupation but a respected part of rural life. The
traditional chaupal culture remains active, where elders guide
the younger generation with values of responsibility and
community service. Kharkara stands as a symbol of tradition
blended with steady rural development.
