Dhani Sankri is an emerging rural settlement in the Hansi district of Haryana.
The name is believed to originate from its narrow pathways or water channels in
the area. Currently, Mrs. Anju Rani serves as the Sarpanch. As a female leader,
she is focusing on ensuring smooth drinking water supply, paving streets, and
raising awareness about female literacy and health.
The social structure of Dhani Sankri is based on cooperation and simplicity.
The residents primarily depend on agriculture and animal husbandry. The land
is fertile, and the main crops are mustard, wheat, and guar. Being a small
hamlet ('dhani'), farmers have a direct connection with their fields. Livestock,
especially dairy, is a household mainstay, with milk production meeting the
needs of local markets. Socially, the village demonstrates unity, and the youth
actively engage in education and competitive exam preparation. The environment
is pure, and traditional Haryanvi values are still maintained.
