Budana village is one of the old and respected villages of the Hansi
region. The name “Budana” is believed to have originated from an ancestor
named “Buda” or from an ancient local term that gradually evolved into
its present form over time. Currently, the village is led by Sarpanch
Mr. Anil.
Being a young leader, Mr. Anil has placed special emphasis on sports
facilities, digital libraries, and skill development programs for the
youth. His leadership reflects a forward-looking approach aimed at
preparing the younger generation for modern challenges.
Socially, Budana is known for its unity and progressive mindset. The
social system of the village is well-organized, and all festivals and
celebrations are observed with great enthusiasm and collective
participation.
From an agricultural perspective, Budana is a prosperous village.
An extensive network of canals ensures adequate irrigation, reducing
water-related issues for farmers. Wheat and cotton are the major crops,
providing good income to the farming community. Along with farming,
villagers also rear high-quality livestock.
The village environment is clean, green, and healthy. Even today, the
village chaupal serves as a cultural center where elders share folk tales
and historical stories, connecting the younger generation with their
roots. With the spread of education, many youths from Budana are now
making their mark in fields such as IT, healthcare, and defense services.
