About Barchhapar Sarpanch: Mrs. Reena

History and Naming of Barchhapar

Barchhapar village is an old and traditional rural village located in the Hansi district of the state of Haryana. The village is primarily agrarian, and most of its residents depend on agriculture and animal husbandry for their livelihood.

According to local beliefs, the name “Barchhapar” is associated with a person, a clan (gotra), or a regional identity from earlier times. Some people believe that the word “Barchha” may be connected to bravery or a traditional weapon (spear), while “Par/Pur” is often used to mean a settlement or village. Together, these elements are thought to have given rise to the village’s name over time. Although written historical records about the origin of the name are limited, it is generally accepted that the naming is based on local dialect and traditions.

Over time, Barchhapar village has developed its own distinct identity and is today known for its social unity, rural culture, and hardworking people. As of the year 2025, the Sarpanch of Barchhapar village is Mrs. Reena, who leads the Gram Panchayat and is responsible for village development works, implementation of public welfare schemes, and administrative responsibilities.
